Day 2: Roma - Castel Gandolfo
An extremely exciting stage begins a journey that will be equally exciting. You cross the Eternal City to the church of Domine Quo Vadis, where you enter the catacombs of San Callisto and the Appia Antica, the Regina Viarum, begins, which partly preserves the original paving. Some extraordinary monuments from the Roman era accompany us along the first road in the world. In the last kilometers you climb towards Castel Gandolfo, the heart of the Castelli Romani and summer residence of the Popes.

Distance 23 km
Day 3: Castel Gandolfo - Velletri
The stage, largely unpaved, is not long but is challenging due to the differences in altitude: after the initial descent towards Albano Laziale, the route climbs up the Alban Hills. A series of paths, immersed in the woods and full of panoramic views of the lakes, lead gently downhill to the gates of the picturesque village of Nemi; then you go up into the woods and then descend to Velletri: the pleasantness of its landscape is renowned, also celebrated by the German poet Goethe.
04
Distance 18 km
Day 4: Velletri - Cori
After two rather demanding days, the journey in Lazio continues with short and pleasant sections. Contradas with little traffic lead to Lake Giulianello, a small uncontaminated natural oasis, and from there to the hamlet of the same name, beyond which a gradual climb begins between hills dotted with olive trees. Today's destination is Cori: the arrival at the temple of Hercules truly offers a suggestive panorama

Distance 22 km
Day 5: Cori - Sermoneta
Even today a short stage, almost all on asphalt. From Cori to Norma the route takes place in the hills on a panoramic road that opens up a view of the Pontine plain and the sea. Along the way, a visit to the ancient abbey of Valvisciolo is particularly recommended, after which you go up to reach the medieval village of Sermoneta.
06
Distance 12,8 km
Day 6: Sermoneta - Sezze
In this very short stage you cross, in gentle ups and downs, the last offshoots of the Lepini Mountains. You immerse yourself in a beautiful strip of landscape characterized by the alternation of plateaus and hills that shine with all the shades of green and white of the limestone walls. Olive groves and meadows, Mediterranean scrub and groves accompany each other up to the medieval village of Sezze, full of surprises.
07
Distance 20 km
Day 7: Sezze - Fossanova
A varied stage, between mountains and plains. After the initial descent from the Sezze hill, you go up a little to reach Priverno, which stands on a small hill overlooking the Amaseno valley. From here we continue along the river, on paths surrounded by woods which, crossing the Pontine plain, lead to the splendid Fossanova Abbey, where the mystical atmosphere of the Middle Ages reigns unchanged as in the time of Saint Thomas Aquinas who spent there his last days.
08
Distance 21 km
Day 8: Fossanova - Terracina
In Fossanova the path splits: the easier main route on asphalt continues on the plain through rural districts until reaching the sea, one of the most beautiful cities in Lazio: Terracina, an enchanting treasure chest of history, nature and good food.
